It gathers 22 high-level policymakers from middle income countries worldwide and introduces them to future trends in manufacturing and the latest developments in the sector.

The programme will last until 23 October and comprises a series of lectures and exercises by world renown faculty from the University of Cambridge (UK), the University of California, high-level policymakers from India, South Africa and the Republic of Korea, as well as publishers from the Economist and the Financial Times, among others. Fifth UNIDO Institute summer course on green industry starts in Hungary

Twenty-seven young professionals from over 20 countries are taking part in the summer course “Green industry: Pathways towards inclusive and sustainable industrial development” taking place in Budapest.

UNIDO hosting an Expert Group Meeting on “Knowledge Management Systems in Education and Training in the Leather Value Chain”

img_4344UNIDO in cooperation with Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT), Mwanza Campus and the Leather Association of Tanzania (LAT) organized an Expert Group Meeting (EGM) on “Knowledge Management Systems in Education and Training in the Leather Value Chain”.

The overall objectives of the expert group meeting were to report on lessons learned from training tools developed for DIT Mwanza, their utilization, benefits, challenges and recommendations for improvement, to examine the effective ways and tools to improve knowledge management systems for educational and training organizations, appraise the role of technology in knowledge management systems and user acceptance through the end of quality skills development and to discuss possible cooperation among institutions providing skills development education and training.
