EQuIP: Enhancing the Quality of Industrial Policies

As part of the EQuIP project, key elements of the EQuIP Toolbox have been converted into an e-learning course to complement hands-on training courses and to facilitate the mastering of EQuIP methodologies. The e-Learning course explains the background and the relevancy of the toolkit and provides information about the relation between the tools and key statistical data. Through different modules, it offers a step-by-step presentation of the different tools and their diagnostic methodologies. In addition, sample applications of selected tools (accessing important databases, compilation of key indicators) serve as a demonstration.

The course is open for self registration and can be accessed here: EQuIP E-Learning Course

UNIDO-KIT: Diagnostics for Industrial Value Chain Development
eicon_valuechainsThis course offers a tool for diagnosing industrial value chains. It provides guidance on defining the elements necessary for the development and upgrading of entire value chains, not just parts of them. The focus is on industrial value chains, meaning those that engage in the processing and transformation of primary products into consumable goods and thereby generate value added. Unlike conventional value chain analysis, this tool places particular emphasis on the processing and manufacturing segment with its downstream (market) and upstream (supplies) relationships. The toolkit can be accessed here.

The course is open for self registration and can be accessed here: Value Chain Diagnostics

UNIDO Capacity Building Programme on Renewable Energy

2015-02-23 16_28_55-Home_ Observatory for Renewable EnergyThis advanced training programme, has been developed in the framework of the regional project ¨Observatory for Renewable Energy in Latin America and Caribbean¨, devoted to promote capacity building and knowledge exchange in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency in order to boost investments in this area.

The training programme is focused on energy access and provides professionals and policy makers with deep and up to date knowledge on the technologies that can contribute to face this challenge. Thus, it tackles the following topics organized in seven e-learning modules:

  1. Energy and climate change
  2. Thermo-solar energy
  3. Photovoltaic systems
  4. Small hydro
  5. Biogas Agro waste biogas
  6. Wind energy
  7. Energy Efficiency in Buildings

The modules combine theoretical knowledge with practical exercises related to existing applications. All e-learning modules, available in English, Spanish and Portuguese, are composed by different training tools such as guides, videos, interactive slides and practical tests.

The users will receive a digital certificate issued by UNIDO and the developers, once exceeded the corresponding Knowledge assessments. The modules can be accessed here.
